Launch of “The Beer Café” in South Mumbai

BeerSouth Mumbai has abundance of places to have a beer and to chill out on a lazy weekend or any weekday. To stand out in this crowded space, you must have something special to offer and that’s what Beer Café’s newest and the first outlet in South Mumbai promises. After Beer café opened their 24/7 outlet near T2 of Chattrapati Shivaji International Airport, this is the first one in South Mumbai.

Very conveniently located at the iconic Eros Cinema building near Churchgate, the Beer Café offers a very cool ambience with quirky décor and lots of beer. Apart from their extensive list of 14 varieties of draught beer amongst 50 international beer brands what makes this place a perfect place to chill out, is the complimentary wifi. This is a major draw for today’s Gen Y who likes to “stay connected” all the time.

Founder and CEO of Beer Café, Mr. Rahul Singh who is the winner of TiECON 2014 Entrepreneurial Award for Excellence and the prestigious Entrepreneur India 2015 award in F&B service , says this about  India’s largest alco – bev chain “ We aspire to do more than serve great beer and food. The Beer Café wants to foster a meaningful bond with Mumbai’s growing community of beer enthusiasts.”

IMG_0121The place with a mezzanine floor, reflects the old world charm of traditional Irish pubs along with some humorous framed posters, wood engraved quotes;  gorgeous ferns impart cheerfulness to the setting.

They serve an interesting and creative menu of beer based cocktails by Studio de Monin, an array of craft beers from both local and international breweries and an enticing food menu that includes Koliwada Fried Chicken, Keema Pav or Kolhapuri Paneer. One can also indulge in thin crust pizzas or the pub favorite Beer battered fish and chips.

IMG_0142Now the time to reveal my favorite beer based cocktail at the Beer Café – this has to be the Beer Mule. I freaked out on this drink while my partner enjoyed his mugs of Bira Blonde lager thoroughly. Amongst the food served with the drinks, I loved their thin crust mini pizzas, beer batter fried prawns served with Thai chilli sauce and mushroom canapes. Since it was the opening day, there was a buffet for lunch and I have to admit,we thoroughly enjoyed the Beer Roasted Chicken. One thing we are sure of is that we definitely have all the plans to go there  and chill out over mugs of beer soon.

When it comes to having beer, you will never run out of excuses – at least not at the Beer Café – so they claim, and trust me, it’s not a tall claim.
