Treehouse Club & Resorts, Bhiwadi: Weekend Getaway

swimming poolIf life is all about those moments that makes it special, why aren’t there too many of them. We get busy with the daily grinds, forget to wish our near and dear ones, and our passion takes a backseat. Everyone is aware of these facts, but how often do we steal time for ourselves shall make our life script.

Kids Play AreaMy kids’ schools have just started. We went to Goa as soon as the last term ended but that was two months ago and now they want to go out again, even if it is for a day. I stay in Gurgaon and have covered nearby day trips like Pratapgarh Farms, Damdama Lake or weekend stay at Westin Sohna. We want to try something new and someone recommends Tree House Club at Bhiwadi. It is ideal; just 45 minutes from Gurgaon equipped with all facilities like spa, indoor games, swimming pool, kids activity room etc, and easily fits in the budget.

GreensThe drive is comfortable except the stretch of around 800 mtrs where the road is under construction. We are booked in the resort wing of the Treehouse Club that has another adjoining ‘business’ wing with a more “hotel” type look and less of open greenery. Our wing is spread over 5 acres with 101 rooms (in both wings) and for vacationers, resort wing is ideal. The huge courtyard in between, manicured gardens, large swimming pool, a spa, a kids room along with indoor badminton room and many other amenities, we are already spoiled for choice.

Bed RoomRooms:

We rush to the rooms to freshen up as it is already lunch time. The junior suite that we booked for our self has a small separate study area, a living area, a comfortable double bed, a locker, minibar and a clean attached washroom. The room is well lit and airconditioning is so effective that we have to slightly reduce the cooling.

Dining:

Chips & Chapatis RestaurantThe multi cuisine restaurant Chips & Chapatti has a decent buffet laid out both for lunch and dinner. Priced at Rs 600, this is quiet a spread. Just like any other buffet, few things may not appeal though most things are worthy. We did try couple of other dishes from ala-carte and came back happy. The chef at the resort is seen interacting with all guests to customize some of the dishes for them. During our dinner, post the starters along with my drinks and the interactive live ghazal session, I am keen for some homemade chapatti’s along with arhar dal and paneer ki bhurji. The chef made arranged them for us and it is definitely one of my most memorable meals, recently.

Ichizen restaurantThe Treeclub resort also has an authentic Japanese restaurant, Ichizen, more for the large Japanese population in Bhiwadi who settled in because of many Japanese companies setting up their base in the area. It closes by 9pm and since I am in no mood to eat so soon, I mentally promise to myself to come some other time to eat here, which will be faster than going to Delhi for a meal.

Spa:

Spa RoomSpa is outsourced to Hibiscus and certainly is not a forte of Tree House Club and Spa. We booked for a couple spa but since there are no cross massages, we have to take separate rooms. Though unwritten but it is a stated rule that most massages move from foot to head, here we start from the head moving on to feet. Even some of the techniques in the signature massage are missed along with the duration that is cut short by 15-minutes. Anyone who has not been to many spas and cannot compare much with others will still like it. The biggest highlight is that this spa is much affordable then to most spas in Delhi-NCR.

Swimming:

Swimming PoolThe big swimming pool will some kids water slides nearby is fun. Our much time is well spent in the pool. I wanted to play badminton too, but then one day is too less to explore this wonderful property.

There are many properties which are better built or have even more amenities, what distinguishes Treeclub House is the service oriented manpower. All of whom we met are so polite and ready to help, that many big names can takes pointers from them.

We came back much rejuvenated and happy from our visit. I am not only coming back to the Japanese restaurant but will explore more of such wonderful weekend getaways.
