Choko La, Gurgaon

[Rated: 3.5/5]

Choko La at Gurgaon is an extension of popularly known Choco La at Khan Market, Delhi. Known for its confectionary using Belgium Chocolate, bakery products and all-day breakfast, it has a small 25-seater outlet done tastefully in chocolate colored and bright yellow walls.

Apart from using eggs it serves only vegetarian products. We tried the Egg Benedict (110) which had a perfectly cooked – soft and flowing poached egg on a fresh English muffin topped up with Hollandaise sauce, but bacon was conspicuous by its absence. Choco La Club grilled sandwich (175) is not to be missed with excellent flavors coming from the sun-dried tomatoes and emmental cheese. Had such nice sandwiches after a long time. Other interesting items to try here are Grilled Veg Salad (140) and Almond pounded and slivered Dark Chocolate drink.

I was expecting a great Chocolate Brownie shake (150) but it was average and similarly the Wild Berry Cheese Cake (230) had a hard crust and crumbling pastry. I was slightly disappointed from a chain which has always been popular for its desserts and shakes.

The staff is attentive and courteous. Visit the place for its dark hot chocolate, excellent grilled sandwich and the fresh bakery products.
