Beetroot Dosa {Recipe}

Mona Jain shares one of her Mom’s specialty with us…it is a favorite with her kids and we are sure it will be with yours as well…
2 medium size beetroot grated
2 onions finely chopped
One inch ginger grated
Green chilli to taste
Dhaniya chopped finely
1 tsp Jeera/Cumin seeds
2 tbsp curds
1 tbsp makai ka atta
1 tbsp wheat flour
1 tbsp suji
2 tbsp rice flour
2 tbsp besan
1 tbsp ragi atta (optional)
Salt to taste


Mix all up together and add water, and keep for 10 minutes. Batter consistency is that of uttapam batter and make them thick like uttapams. Pour on hot tava, but cook on sim and it takes a bit of time to cook.

Incase the batter gets too thin add either besan, suji or rice flour.

Serve with regular coconut chutney and butter (pref homemade.. Yum!)
