Here is the recipe:

Toor dal 500 gms
Ginger 1 tbsp
Tomato 1 cubed

Drumsticks 2 cut into small sticks

Pressure cook dal for some time and then add the remaining ingredients to it and cook till the dal is properly cooked.

1 tsp rai/mustard seeds
few curry leaves
1/2 tsp hing/asofoetida
2 dry red chilies
1 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp dhania jeera powder ( OR you can just use Gujarati dal masala readily available in the market)
lemon or tamarind juice
jaggery or sugar
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste

Heat oil and add the remaining ingredients for 1-2 min (except lime juice / tamarind paste and sugar/jaggery)

1 cup regular wheat atta
1 1/2 tbsp spinach.
1/2 tsp chilli powder,
1/2 tsp dhania jeera powder and
salt to taste

Make the dough of the above and roll the rotis out of it and cut into diamond shape.

Add the tempering to the cooked dal and give it a good boil…add the lime juice/tamarind paste and sugar/jaggery to it
when its boiling add the diamond cut dhokli in the dal and allow it to cook on medium flame till the roti is properly cooked.

Garnish with chopped onions and enjoy.
