BBQ Pork RibsStarting 12th October 2014, JW Marriott, Aerocity New Delhi has launched a lavish winter brunch at their all-day-dining food theatre, K3. The focus is on Cantonese, Tuscan and North Indian kitchens to relish the various specialties. I am here at the invitation of Girish Krishnan, the talented Executive Chef of the hotel for a first day tasting of the buffet.IMG_0124

I ask Girish what the winter menu really means to a diner. He says, “Apart from our regular extensive buffet spread, we are excited to introduce a range of new live station offerings this year, which explores a whole gamut of gastronomical delights from all over the world.” And lavish indeed it is. The spread of soups, salads, main course and to a host of mouth watering desserts all are a foodie delight. The star of the Sunday Winter Brunch is the live carving station featuring Tender Lamb Leg, which is melt in the mouth tender and juicy. Slow Roasted Poultry and Herb Roasted Chicken are the other offerings for the chicken lovers.

IMG_0128The courtyard section features the back yard barbeque, with a choice of meats and vegetables, traditional sauces and accompaniments. “Catch of the day” ,the sea food bar featuring Kerala Prawns, Pomfret and other sea food made to order with an array of marinades, a real treat for fresh catch from the backwaters, along with Delhi 06 food – the Sigri Kebabs, Kormas and Biryanis. The “Eat street” which is a fashioned like a bustling street serves authentic street food like Moong Dal Vada, Scrambled Carrot Cakes, and Fritto Misto stays true to the spirit of Delhi. With such amazing spread around, the Indian section, especially Delhi 06 one gets overshadowed by the rest.Belgian Chocolate Mousse

The dessert station takes center stage with an exciting variety of home-made ice creams, warm Belgian waffles, brioche pudding, decadent chocolate delicacies and lip smacking freshly baked tarts, cupcakes and more.

With some excellent Italian and Chinese dishes and a reasonable pricing, the buffet here is one of the best Delhi NCR has to offer. I look forward to being back with family and friends on a crisp winter afternoon.
