I have been a resident of North Delhi since birth. As I can recall during my school and college days (am talking mid to late 90s…am not that old!), there were few good restaurants one could go to. Many would remember good old ‘Nirulas’ on Bunglow street in Kamla Nagar or ‘Invitation’ in Ashok Vihar or ‘Richie Rich’ near Shalimar Bagh maybe. As the economic prosperity set in over decade of 2000, and Pitam Pura and Rohini took shape, a whole lot of good eating joints have mushroomed and made name for themselves in the North and West Delhi.
My desire to eat out and try new cuisines has led me to many of them at some point or the other. I am putting down a list of good restaurants in North Delhi and West Delhi for all the foodies who want to enjoy a good meal with their loved ones. I will try to keep adding and modifying this list, including deleting some restaurant’s names from it if their quality turns bad.

Look forward to hearing from fellow foodies with their comments on this list and suggestions on restaurants that may be missed out. Do write in at “[email protected]”

Queens of The Sea at Le Cirque, Leela Palace, Delhi

Most seafood menus try to impress you with ingredients. This one at Le Cirque wins you over with how those ingredients are treated. Even before the first course arrives, the space sets the tone. Warm lighting, plush seating, white table cloth, and that open kitchen quietly at work. It feels luxur…
