Monk SapphireGurgaon, India, 27thMay 2016 – The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi today announced the introduction of Crafted at Westin, a new signature cocktail menu that invites guests to choose well behind the bar. Taking inspiration from fresh natural ingredients, local flavors and craftsmanship, Crafted at Westin is the Westin brand’s newest food and beverage program.

Whisky PunchSpecifically at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, eight cocktails such as Pomegranate Green Tea, Whiskey Punch, Camomile Mule, Monk’s Sapphire and other handcrafted cocktails along with refreshing mocktails such as Granny Julep, Pine is Mine and Aambi will be introduced. The Crafted at Westin menu is now available across signature restaurants at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi and The Westin Sohna Resort and Spa.

The local cocktail creations at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi include:

  • Jitendra Singh- Sr BartenderChai Experiments: Chai Experiments is prepared by infusion of vodka with special Chai Masala and spices for one to two weeks; true to the Indian culture along with famous Indian spices namely Cinnamon, Cardamom, Star anise, Mace; complementing to the local tastes, stirred and blended together with amaretto, grand marnier and angostura bitter served on the rocks.
  • SqueezeMonks’s Sapphire: Monk’s Sapphire is prepared by infused old monk with cucumber slices for a whole week; reducing the bitterness of rum and providing it with a refreshing and light flavor, muddled with cucumber slices along with sugar syrup, lemon juice and a dash of rhubarb bitters.
