Delhi’s Most Delicious 2013 Awards: Delhi’s Best Restaurants

DSC08133Voice of the customer is gaining even more ground with the Food & Nightlife magazine announcing their user based awards for top 10 most popular dishes of Delhi, and honoring restaurants that serve them with the title of  ‘Delhi’s Most Delicious’. The selection of winners was through online poll and even though it may have missed some of those foodies who are not tech savvy, it is still a good beginning.

DSC08126Indian Food Freak was the online media partner for this prestigious event and we were happy to witness stalwarts of the food industry gracing the occasion. The event began with Chef Saransh Goila taking over as master of ceremonies and inviting students of Olive Culinary Academy to take the hurricane task of preparing 3-course meal in under 15 minutes.

DSC08131No one believed that preparing a 3-course meal was possible and that too from scratch. The menu was not as simple. But the confident team of young students pulled it through with ease without any sign of stress on their face. President’s award winner Chef Saby is the Chef Mentor & Director of the academy and this wouldn’t have been possible without his able leadership provided to the two month old students in his academy who have enrolled for a 1 year program.

DSC_0192The event was organised at Pullman Gurgaon Central Park which is slowly getting recognised as a gourmet foodie destination for its French restaurant La Riviera & Coffee Shop SEN5ES. Jagan Lacsher, General Manager, Pullman Gurgaon Central Park said, “We are delighted to be a part of this wonderful initiative that brings together food lovers from the city. It is the celebration of Food and Pullman Gurgaon Central Park has always set benchmarks when it came to promote or associate with Food”.

The hunt for Delhi’s Most Delicious started with online voting through an application on facebook with 10 nominations across 10 categories. The online poll continued for 15 days where close to 2,50,000 votes poured in. The majority of the votes were cast in Biryani, Caesar Salad and Burger categories.  Basis the online polling, the proud winners are:
