Beautiful Al Fresco dining space surrounded by huge greens could have been a perfect romantic destination but alas the food and service disappoints completely. Signages are inadequate and there is no one to guide even inside the premises. Despite we asked for Lure to one of their employees, I was sent to another of their restaurant – Vega. An order can take upto 45 min to start arriving since the place is still catered to serve parties which happen very frequently. At 8pm, remains of the lunch party held at the venue – balloons were still being removed and busted. A popping sound every now-and-then became a major distraction.
Food was served after over 40 min of placing the order. Lure has some amazing dishes on the menu. Alas, they sounded good only in the menu. Wasabi Fish had no kick of wasabi, Lamb was served with couscous instead of lyonnaise potatoes mentioned in the menu. The jus on the lamb was highly inadequate if one wants to eat couscous along. Broccoli Soup (255) was average and Rocket and Pinenut Salad (285) was insufficient for the price charged. Interestingly there was no pine nut in the salad too.
It sounds like I am being too critical. There was a silver lining in shape of Red Devil (485) and Spicy Chicken BBQ Pizza (465). Red Devil was a highly potent cocktail delivered well and pizzas though cooked in normal electric oven were thin and used fresh toppings. One of the servers, Chandra Deep, was very attentive and knew much more about drinks then many of the bar tenders in the industry. However, it is not to the credit of the restaurant since he joined only 4 days ago.
Lure Switch is certainly a good place for parties but their plan to get ala-carte guests looks like a distant dream given the current scenario.
