Foodestra for a Cause: Flavor of Mughals, Gurgaon

GurgaonMoms, a community of mothers in Gurgaon, joined hands with Flavor of Mughals to support the event – “Foodestra for a Cause”- a music concert with Sufi Singer Satikant on October 13th 2012. Part of the proceeds was donated to an NGO – Samarpan Foundation who works for children with special needs.

Lovely melodies from Sasikant along with flowing Kebab and Biryani made it a memorable evening. The guests were in for a treat – Two famous singers Shibani Kashyap and Shankar Sahney were there to attend the event and made the night even more memorable by performing for the guests. I enjoyed most of the kebabs, notables were the Mushroom Tikka and Bhutte ka kebab. Even the biryani was very authentic. Subtly flavoured, there was no need of Raita or any other accompaniment; a sign of a good biryani.

I love this idea of giving back to the society by partnering with an NGO, which is a great way in contributing to not-so-fortunate and differently-abled.
