Tamatar Ghosht ka Salan

If you like mirchi ka salan, try this interesting recipe of Tamatar Mutton Salan by Farah Malik.

Ingredients:

Mutton- 1kg
Tomatoes – 600gms (steamed and skinned)
Garlic ginger paste- 2 tblsp (ginger lesser)
Dhania powder- 1 tblsp
Onions – 600 gms sliced
Garam masala- 1 tblsp
Haldi (Turmeric) / mirchi (Green Chilly) / Oil / a dash of ghee (Clarified butter_

Method:
Fry onions only till they are transclucent
Add ginger garlic paste and dry masalas
Fry in low heat / add mutton and cook
When it dries up add water which you uused to steam tomatoes
Once oil comes out add steamed tomatoes and garam masala
Salt should be added towards the end

Keep the *shorba* (gravy) light not thick
Garnish with fresh corriander (I love loads in this recipe) and Green chilies and serve wth roti/ naan / khammere roti/soft rice (gobindo-bhog)
